Disassemble. Remove blade stop pin. Place spring shank into blade hole. Grind off excess spring shank that protrudes past blade with a Dremel Tool or a stone. Note: If any amount of the spring shank protrudes past blade thickness it will rub opposing handle and will not function when assembled.

 Install spring into blade and
then blade with spring into handle cavity. When seated it will
resemble a "v" with no tension on spring.
Swing blade past the stop pin hole and reinsert blade stop pin. Rest tensioned blade against stop pin. |
 Place
button spring into button cup and while holding blade to handle, slightly
raise blade from handle, insert button and spring into the hole and lower
blade to handle. Insert safety.

 Install
handle. Snug down blade screw. Install handle screws.
Back off blade screw slightly to allow proper blade to handle clearance.
